IDENTIFICADO O AUTOR DO DESENHO DE NATAL
O desenho, publicado nos Estudos em 20 de Dezembro de 2003, e não assinado, foi identificado por uma leitora, Júlia Coutinho, que enviou a seguinte nota:

“Este desenho é da autoria de João Abel Manta e foi editado pela Comissão do MUD Juvenil da Escola de Belas Artes de Lisboa de que o autor fazia parte.
Impulsionada por José Dias Coelho, aquela Comissão esteve activa fundamentalmente entre 1946/1952 e dela fizeram parte nomes como João Abel Manta, Rolando Sá Nogueira, Lima de Freitas, Alice Jorge, Bartolomeu Cid, António Alfredo, Margarida Tengarrinha, Raul Hestnes Ferreira, Augusto Sobral, Francisco Castro Rodrigues e muitos outros.
O original foi oferecido pelo autor ao seu grande amigo Dias Coelho e este, ao entrar para a clandestinidade em finais de 1955, ofereceu-a a uma pessoa amiga que ainda hoje o conserva.
João Abel viria a ser preso pela Pide em 1948.!"
